Street Dog Stretched Its Head And Hands Outside Its Cage To Gain Love And Attention From Visitors

There are many reasons how dogs end up in animal shelters and it’s clear that many of them sought love and affection. Speck is no different.

At the Bullock County Animal Adoption Center in Alabama, USA, Speck harboured hopes and exciting expectations on having a new owner. However, a couple of years passed and Speck still found himself in the same place.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

As time went on, Speck began putting effort into attracting the eyes of the visitors in the adoption centre.

Every time someone passes his cage, he would run to the front and beg to be petted by stretching his face out and his front legs would extend as if expecting a hug from them.

Sympathetic eyes would be thrown onto the surprised visitors in hopes that they will greet and touch him.

Workers at the animal shelter mentioned that Speck has a rough past. He used to be a wandering dog on street who had no owner and no one to look after him. For years, he had to fend for himself.

Fortunately, the challenging life in the streets did not harden his heart like many other dogs. Instead, he remained gentle and friendly. Hope for the love from humans was still there in him.

Not long later, animal protection organization “Allie’s Hope For Paws Dog Rescue” heard about Speck’s behaviour. Intrigued, they reached out to help him and managed to find a new family for Speck.

Huzzah! His life was changed.

Now, Speck is living with two other dogs in his new home. They love each other very much and all live freely on their owner’s farm.

Speck’s hardworking effort to attract attention paid off and his desire to have an owner and a new home was given to him.
