While many of us still miscalculate simple maths even with the help of a calculator, an 8-year-old girl from Mexico casually solved 70 math problems in her head in under 5 minutes and won herself a Grand Champion title at the 2019 ALOHA Mental Arithmetic Competition!

Known as Zury Tlapanco Reyes, the Mexican girl effortlessly beat 900 other children from 35 other countries with her impressive arithmetic skills.

According to ALOHA’s official website, the ALOHA MENTAL ARITHMETIC program aims to stimulate a child’s left and right hemispheres of the brain, leading to greater concentration, listening and analytical skills.

With the incredible arithmetic skills that Zury has, the girl not only managed to solve all 70 mathematic problems but to come up with the correct solutions for all of the problems.

Her success has apparently made everyone in Mexico proud of her especially her friends and family who greeted her at the airport.

Soon after she landed at the Tampico International Airport after returning from the championship on July 24, she was quickly surrounded by her family and friends who chanted and cheered her name as Zury held the trophy she won at the world championship.

According to Epoch Times, although the girl has competed in various math competitions before, the 2019 ALOHA Mental Arithmetic Competition was her first world championship.

With the winning of her first-ever world championship title, we are sure that Zury will continue to impress everyone with her arithmetic skills and win more world titles in the future!
